Children of minority groups aren’t safe from the harsh reality of the world. They get deprived of their fundamental rights to enjoy life and mature into productive individuals due to discrimination, racism, and similar injustices.
Change My Community, Inc. works to provide a community where minority children can freely go to school and learn, play with peers, and gain access to quality and healthy food and water.
Teenage
Minority youths in the US – and around the world – also suffer from inequality in access to education and employment. Some of them have to financially support their family due to unemployed or sick parents.
We at Change My Community Inc. strive to provide the youth with education so they can secure a job and won’t be prone to abuse in the workplace.
Woman
Women from minority groups are often discriminated against and face domestic violence from their husbands. They get deprived of getting an education and are undervalued in the workforce.
We want to change the community for women to be more inclusive. Change My Community Inc. provides counseling for women victims of domestic violence and gives them jobs to become financially dependent.
Elderly
Due to their age, the elderly from minority groups are often prejudiced and discriminated against in society. Many lack access to healthcare services, while some are left to fend for themselves – worse, having to live on the street.
We make it our mission to bring about a society wherein the elderly from minority groups can safely and healthily live the remaining years of their lives.
